do you just HATE where you live?

CANNOT STAND the city I live in! Its complete TRASH!! I'm just living here watching it slowly decline year after year. Lots of ghetto people I hear outside of my window saying ridiculous things. Theres no shootings right where I live but I know a year or two ago there was a shooting like 7 mins away from where I live.

I'm only still hear because I cannot financially afford to live on my own and I live with my mom. She also cannot really afford much else at the moment.

I feeling like I'm rotting away in this city. Its depressing. Every chance I get, I leave the city. For almost everything! I come drive back "home" and I'm like really... this is home. crap.

OMG, I can totally relate to you albeit for a different reason. I'm living in the country after living in a city/suburbs my whole life. I can't move for financial reasons but I can hardly leave the house because I just hate looking at where I live. I think you bring up a really good point because I'm sure if I was living in a different situation my whole outlook and attitude would be completely different. I think where you live and how you like it is a really big deal.

YES! I COMPLETELY agree! Where you live has a major impact on your attitude and outlook! I was born and raised in this city but just about 4 years ago is when it started going downhill. When I was a kid, it wasn't bad at all so I'm not upset that I grew up here... just upset that I'm STILL here!

When I went to college an hr away it was such a NICE change. I called it "farm town" (self-explanatory). But then when summer, i came back home and just SAW it falling apart. I also studied abroad in europe so being away during college really helped me step outside and see it really crumbling.

Its depressing here! And I'm just angry. I cannot stand the people outside. Swearing, saying racial slurs. It does NOT fit the type of class my mother and I are grouped in. We just don't belong here.

Not only that but I'm always highly stressed out. My boyfriend who is from a laid back part of texas says he thinks its cause I was born and raised in the city and the hustle and bustle triggered that for me.

I wouldn't say I totally hate where I live, but I don't like it. It's barren and depressing to me. I've lived in much nicer, prettier, and interesting places. As big as the city is, I have nowhere to go outside. I feel trapped in my little apartment. I don't have a car so that hinders me greatly in such a pedestrian-unfriendly city. And I feel extremely different from the people here. I'm just not Southern, and I don't fit in. :/

I live in the middle of some corn fields....just sayin. It's not fun.

I live in a backwater country. there is not much to spent or worth investing down here. But business are good so i can't complain much beside having this twisted mind that keep turning good prespective into bad one.

I live in a beautiful city on the tip of an island, surrounded by ocean and trees and lots of nature in general. I absolutely love it. it's one of very few positives in my life.
