I'm just curious as to how people's BPD affects people around them. I've found that mostly it's just someone that I'm romantically involved with that I end up pushing away. I've had the same friends for years though. I don't typically split them or anything.

I believe I chase everybody away, in the end. Whether it's me pushing them, or them deciding I'm too much to handle. I have very few friends.
My family... they sure do suffer. They make me suffer, I make them suffer, everybody is unhappy.
Damn, I hate this illness.

Mostly romantic partners and family members for me. It definitely affects my friendships as well but nowhere near to the same extremes. I think I just don't hold my friends to the same impossible standards as romantic partners and my parents.

It affects me most at work and with my son. My siblings and friends are assisting me with not reacting to their imperfections and being human, so that part is better.

This pretty much describes me.
It doesn't affect my kids. My parents had to deal with it more when I was younger, but now that I live in a different state.. They don't really have to deal with it.
