What dreams did y'all have before y'all discovered BPD ?

Hello y'all !

I know that this is a really cheezy question/topic, but I still would like to get some answers from youse.

I just wanted to ask youse ... before you discovered your BPD, before y'all were disillusioned, what dreams did y'all have ?

Mine, personally, were .... simply put, the American dream - a happy marriage ... a lovely woman to come home to, a couple of kids to call my own, and a humble home by the ocean or up in the hills. I, personally, can't think of anything else to ask God for.

What about y'all ?

I think I was BPD for years before I was officially told...so I think I went through adolescence in a state of disillusionment. I didn't grow up in a traditional family and so it seemed unrealistic to me at first and then it just grew unappealing.

I've always wanted a career and so I suppose I will be putting all of my energy into that.

Jut to say, you can have the American Dream and be BPD! It just takes extra work!

I think I've been somewhat disillusioned my whole life. Ever since I was a kid, I've been back and forth when it came to hopes and dreams and thoughts and moods, although it was easier to just blame it on my insecurities that came with bullying and the feeling of never really belonging somewhere, the emptiness - another BPD trait. A circle, you may say.

These days I usually just tell people I'm heading towards world domination.
