I'm fighting this horrible battle. I have stopped drinking not getting drunk, but self medicating non-the-less. Now my moods are so unstable. My flash backs and my DID are terrible. I feel totally manic and out of control. SH is at it's worst and I am driving everyone away. Sorry to vent just not sure what to do. I feel like sleeping to not hurt anyone with my violent mean outburst but then have energy to seemingly accomplish everything. Typical. Thanks for reading,

I'm sorry things are so rough right now Pepper. Do you have any 3D supports right now that you can reach out to? It's really positive that you've stopped drinking. I understand that you said that you're still self medicating, but it's all about the baby steps! and stopping drinking is a huge step in the right direction in my opinion :) Feel free to continue to share here, and welcome to the board! I hope you find this a supportive "family" like many of us have.

Cheze2 nailed it.
Stopping drinking is a huge step forward! Be proud of yourself for that. This takes time, and that's proof you can do it. One step at a time. You'll get there!

Please feel free to stick around here. I know this place is very helpful to me as well.

Good luck!
