I'm not quite sure if "god complex" is the right term...
Sometimes I find that I have narcissistic traits; I can be arrogant and entitled and act as if the world owes me something. It's been like that for years. But I have been diagnosed with BPD and I don't question that -- my self esteem is really quite poor. Sometimes I act arrogant/overly confident to cover up my lack of it. I have slight issues with authority... I don't really respect anyone unless they earn my respect. Just wondering if anyone else is like this? Or could this be a whole other problem like bipolar?

From what I understand some pwBPD can have fleeting god complex episodes. For most pwBPD they split others black or white and which split someone falls in can shift back and forth in no specific time frame. From what I understand of it (as I am a non) pwBPD sometimes also have problems with splitting themselves black or white. So if they split themselves white then they will have a "god complex" for the duration of that episode which can kind of be termed as a narcissistic episode. Then the pwBPD will eventually have some reason to split themselves black and hate themselves or feel like they need to be punished. Both images are quite false but feel quite powerful emotionally to the pwBPD from what I understand causing them understandably in the moment to take the images as truth. Do you find your "god complex" is fleeting in some way? Only last for a period? Then shows up again later? Have you ever split yourself "black"? I personally don't know too much on bipolar but I suppose you could have a similar experience in bipolar if you were in a manic episode. Yet you'd still lose that complex when falling into a depressive episode. Do you ever have feelings that you need others to "fill you" by getting attention from anyone regardless of who they are? Or do you tend to only mimic images of others who by impressing them can increase your self image by giving you more power and/or authority? I realize some of what I asked is a little vague but if you aren't sure on some of those questions or don't want to answer them maybe just describe to me the characteristics of the god complex you experience and the main things that drive you and the main things that give you fear in life? Then I'd be able to lean my opinion one way or another more.

I am an arrogant person... I think highly of myself and I honestly don't see a problem with it. It might be a little bit too much, but it's a lot better than having low self esteem. When I was younger it used to shift back and forth between hating myself and loving myself, though. I still think that I'm never good enough but it's more in a sense like "I'm not good enough because the other person is being rediculous".
I think we can definitly have a god complex! It's probably the black and white part of the illness, but if you have psychosis it might be a delusion.
