when is it just your bpd?

how do i know if i subconsciously chose someone who will cheat on me so i can recreate my abandonment, or if these fears of being cheated on are irrational fears from bpd? i'm a good judge of character when i'm not stuck in a loop. but i can't figure this one out. thoughts?
