Question for the males with bpd?

Do you find it hard to apologize to a person you have done wrong?

Incredibly so. It's the main reason people call me uncaring, when it really couldn't be farther from the truth. I am probably too caring in all honesty. I just feel odd saying sorry. I don't know why, it's just always been that way.

It's kind of the same with me for other things as well. I rarely say thank you (even though i am) and i rarely express any emotion unless I'm triggered, and then people better run. I think it might have something to do with fear of not having your apology accepted.

small casual apologies like i accidentally bumped into you when i wasn't looking, no.

deep, meaningful and serious apologies over a harsh insult or joke, absolutely.

I have a hard time apologizing for serious things, even when I feel really guilty about it, I often struggle to express proper remorse because I feel like it makes me show weakness, so it's not comfortable saying sorry for things.
