I was doing incredibly well a few months ago, no self harm, depression or mood swings and then I had the contraceptive injection...OMG! Fallen into a pit of depression and anxiety that's very hard to handle. My cpn and gp agree it's probably because of the injection. What can I do since this will be in my system for a few months still. Anyone else experienced anything like this on the injection?

Isn't that stuff supposed to basically keep you from ovulating by tricking your body into thinking it's already preggers?
I've read that some forms of birth control actually cause the 'hormonal' side effects of pregnancy, as well. Which I imagine could account for your reaction.

Avoidant Borderline Personality: I'd ask if you care, but I'd rather avoid the issue. Or... would I?
