bipolar11 with schitzoid tendencies
I was diagnosed 10 years ago,and ended up taking a whole slough of medications I can not even remember all of them. My cocktail ended up being 800 mg of seroquel and 50 mg of zoloft. At first the seroquel allmost killed me I gained 50 lbs and became diabetic. Over a period of several years I lost the weight and the diabetes became in remission, and no longer require insulin. When I was diagnosed, with the bipolar and diabetes I had to give up my CDL. As I could not pass a DOT physical. I applied for and received Social Security Disability, I am a 18 year veteran over the road truck driver. And rules and regulations for having a bipolar condition and being able to have a CDL have changed. The medications I am on do not disqaulify from having a CDL. I searched high and low and came across waivers that my Dr can fill out that will allow me to drive. He has recently changed my diagnosis to be ln remission , so things are looking up. I owe this all to seroquel. Taking it has giving me life changing results, that has just been wonderfull. No more mania followed by suicidal depresion. I hope my blog will encourage other people to not give up,and stick with it there is in fact light at the end of the tunnel.
