NO ANSWER TO NUMBERS

Permanent Linkby kenny66 on Sat Jul 09, 2011 11:03 am

Well before I was first diagnosed with PTSD 15 years ago I was fascinated with the number 6 and tried to do everything within the context of that number. In recent year this got worse and got to the stage of doing everything possible in 6's. I bought a 6 room house, have 6 cats, have 6 pair of sox, pants etc. I of course was diagnosed OCD and bipolar and have been treated for both. I am taking lamotrigine and the Pdoc was pretty certain that the 6 thing would ease on this drug apart from its other benefits.I tried not to do it but have been super obsessed with 6 this week to the point where I have been buying groceries in 6 and counting every thing by 6's including tiles at the supermarket. I am very down that this new med hasnt helped in this as it is one of the main triggers for me as I tend to have manic episodes when obsessed by things like excessive counting and repeating thing over and over. Hoping you can tell me this is a passing thing not related to the new meds which I was really hoping would help particularly with this.I am also coming off prothiadan which affects me badly. I am in far northern Australia so getting to the doc is not possible for a couple of weeks. Anyone had experience with this-really need some advice here.
