Is there anything that can help somatic delusional disorder that is not expensive? I have no money due to this disorder. I find myself at my breaking point. My husband has such a bad case the first psychologist we went to said he was beyond her help. We are in financial ruin and two years of him believing in a disease he doesn’t have has left our family broken as well. My 7 year old wants to be a brain doctor when he grows up so he can help daddy’s brain get better. He also draws pictures of his family with daddy on the computer researching “his disease.” This is more than I can handle. My husband now wants me to drop him off somewhere in the city so he can be homeless and “live out the rest of his life without my anger.” Should I just let him be homeless? Should I take him away from our children because of the negative effect it has had on them.
