we would like to write this here as a diary of our experiences.
it happened a couple weeks ago, that we were on vacation and were staying in this small hotel. we came back from the beach one day with our family, and found the manager of the place in the kitchen, sitting at the table on the phone. she wasn't talking with anyone, at least from what it seemed to us. she was giving us a very weird vibe, and we didn't realize we were staring at her. she turns around and says hi to us, and we notice that she seems very... off. like she was under some sort of tranquilizer or something.
from the moment we started to notice it, our mind just shut off. we started dissociating very heavily, and had no idea why. she was asking us questions and we were struggling to answer with something that actually made sense, until our dad led us upstairs. we didn't stop dissociating, even though we tried: we tried relaxing, drawing, watching some youtube videos to get our mind off things. since we had to go out in an hour or so, we started dressing up after a shower, and put on some t-shirt and short pants (since Mi could feel either Angelo or Xavier being close).
after dressing up, we waited for our dad and our brother to do the same. while we were waiting, though, we remember looking at ourselves and started feeling uncomfortable. we put on something more feminine, some earrings, but refused to put on makeup. as we looked at ourselves in the mirror, we noticed a weird expression. our eyebrows were raised and our face seemed much more relaxed and, simply, feminine. we didn't think too much about it and just headed out.
on our way, we usually listen to music to ground ourselves and whoever is in front and avoid blending since it's very uncomfortable for us. someone chooses what to listen to and we usually go with that. so, we started listening to some pop, expecting Mi to ground herself better and maybe stop dissociating.
it had the complete opposite effect. we were in the car, and at first we couldn't clearly realize where we were. the road seemed to sway in some weird way, and Mi's conscience seemed to float somewhere close, but not quite in, the body. despite that, we had no problems talking, so that meant that whoever was fronting was not dissociating. as we talked with our dad, the accent from our hometown seemed to disappear. our diction was precise and our movements were smooth.
Mi started to panic, because she had no idea who was in front, even though she's supposed to know since she has knowledge about the system. she tried asking for a name, or anything else that would help her identify who it was. there was no answer, so she thought she was just imaging it all. despite that, she kept on feeling panicky, because whoever was in front was almost completely controlling the body and Mi felt out of control.
despite that, whoever was in front had a calming energy, and the body was relaxed. at some point, Mi tried to see the face of whoever was fronting, to see if there was indeed someone. the only image she got was that of a woman ina red dress with long, wavy platinum blonde hair and blue, slanted eyes. Mi initially refused to pay attention to that image.
as we got off from the car, the woman looked at our feet and got annoyed because we weren't wearing heels. she was still walking like she was supposed to have them on, so walking was a bit weird. Mi noticed that our face had raised eyebrows and lips a bit plumped, and tried to go back to what she knows is her expression. she managed to, but only for a brief moment before our face was back to the original expression again.
the woman had no social anxiety whatsoever, and talked smoothly with whoever was there (waitresses, other memebers of our family). our accent was, still, not there, and the way we talked to our brother reminded us of our mom. we were treating him like our mother would, essentially. at some point during the dinner, Mi wanted to contact her best friend to tell them that she felt weird. the woman, though, didn't allow her to. Mi wanted to take her phone, but couldn't. the woman kept on putting it away or stopping Mi from writing. at some point, she told Mi, "don't worry, let me handle this. you don't need to know my name. relax".
from that moment, Mi stopped fighting. the woman ate foods we don't usually like, and liked them very much. it was actually really enjoyable, finally tasting so many good foods, since we tend to be extremely picky.
when dinner ended, the woman got up, went to the bathroom, and then we hopped in our uncle's car to our cousin's house.
during the trip, the woman gradually retreated, leaving Xavier and Mi in front.
we haven't heard or seen her since, except maybe the day after for a brief amount of time.
we don't know her name, don't know who she is, and don't know why she was there.
despite that, we trust her when she says we don't need to know her name. we don't want to force anything out of her, or us. so, it's okay, I guess... it was just frightening at the start.
