*I was going to post this on DID forum but I will have to wait, anyone who looks at this and wants to help may assist*
[color=#800000]The parents have almost found out about us.
The mom keeps on asking us if "we still believe in that fake stuff" (if we still have DID-"that fake disorder" )and Faith always says no, but then the mom doesn't believe her. Faith's voice is shaky and unsure and always ends up hitting a certain word too hard. Then the mom gets suspicous, says "are you sure?" and Faith says yes but her voice is still shaky.
So, Faith's pretty much gotten worn down from all the questions and the lies she has to tell about our existence, because the parents don't even believe in DID, or "alters" and thought we were demons, and the mom has been threatening to print out the text again. So you can see why she's gotten skittish.
We were wondering what to do to quell the mom's fears- or maybe we should just try to explain the concept of DID and why Faith might have it to them again?
The mom says she Faith can tell her anything. She should have added, "but nothing I won't believe."
I just think that it's ridiculous she thought Faith was lying when she wasn't. Faith would never lie about anything serious, such as having DID, and when confronted with other things that are serious, the mom will either say Faith is lying or be absolutely horrified. Really both in our coming out example, but one time fairly recently, Faith admitted she might have a crush on one of her friends, Jennifer, though in reality one of her alters. Those were my feelings she was experiencing, and unfortunately shared them with her mom and Jennifer. The mom was all like "no, I will not accept this" and "this is the devil. you do NOT like another girl!" and pretty much forced Faith to admit she didn't like Veda because the mom kept on doing the classic mom interrogation thing and she was cracking under the pressure.
Anyways, any help?
