For logical reasons I have had my username altered. For the record any posts that have been made under the username Rotherham before the writing of this blog have been made by me and do not represent an alter-ego of mine or anything

The change is also symbolic in a way for me. For over two years I've gone by a place name. A place I've probably spent little time in and amongst recently because of my virtual self imposed seclusion from society. It has served me well, though I've never ever got used to being referred to as that name. For me now, my home is no longer a place any more than a set of bricks that could happen to be anywhere in the world and not make a difference.

The new name is far more poignant. Like the little hobbit himself I feel like I'm on the cusp of an adventure. I'm not comfortable with it, I will probably feel out of my comfort zone and be well out of my area of expertise but the alternative is little more than to rot away into nothingness and go out without a fight. Hopefully my adventure will have a lot less Goblins and dragons

My name is Kyle, i'm a 23 year old Body dysmorphic who at the time of writing is in the middle of a huge set of crossroads. Behind me is a past of delusion and a mighty fall from grace, in front of me is a long road hope for the future.

I'd like to think even for my young age i'm relatively experienced in BDD, i've had a good few years to get to grips with it and altough it's the greatest challenge i have ever faced i can defeat it, we all can.

Why am i on this forum? To do what i can to help others. Nobody should have to feel alone and i won't let that happen. I will always strive to learn new ways to help people and the more i interact with people in a similar boat to me, the easier it is.

Why the name? Simple really, Rotherham is my home town and as they say home is where the heart is...
