Trichotillomania (ttm) - Hair Pulling
I began pulling my hair out in 2004 - 2011; I had 12 inch hair length in 2003. Then my hair eventually went from 12 inches to 2 inches/simi bald in 2007. In the year 2008 I began to fight the trichotillomania as much as I could. I got prescribed medication (Prozac), I would take a nap/sleep every afternoon. I wore a scraf on my head in the house at all times, I wore gloves all day in the home, I talked on the phone with family members. I mean I tryed just about everthing I could to help myself with the ttm. Hair pulling is embarrassing and shameful, but we have to fight it with everything that we have. There are things we can do to stop the hairpulling; try new habits, be socialable, sing yourself into happiness with positive music. Hairpulling

I still wear a scarf on my head in the house, my hair in the front is 7 inches long; and the back of my hair is 1-2 inches long. I took on a new hobby to keep me busy everyday, and that is crocheting. I went to the crafts store and and bought yarn and crochet needles. A cheap costing hobby for a good cause of me not pulling out more hair as much as I use to. I have to add one last thing; get part-time or full-time work. Being employed will definitely make for less or no time to pull your hair out.{mod edit}
