meds and how you feel

Postby Xhexania » Wed Jan 30, 2013 3:14 am

Has anyone found the right combination and really started to think things are going to be ok just to have it taken away?

I don't know how to get past this and be ok that I can't be on that med. I was put on Effexor and life was great. My mood was great but not out of control it was baseline I was happy and I was pain free on top of it. I fell in love with Effexor and then it all came crashing down on me> My blood pressure hit 157/111 and my doctor had a fit, I tried everything to get it down I even kept the numbers to myself in hopes I could keep this med. In the end I was taken off and started on prozac. I don't know how to get past this after years of the med game and just feeling out of control I was happy. Has anyone been here also? If so how do you move on and forget how you felt?

Thanks

Hi hon

I am sorry you are feeling bad and that this happened to you :(

I have had it with a couple of things. One was quetiapine that worked well for me but gave me a heart arrythmia. The other was benzos which I had addiction problems with. I am not sure what to suggest other than it improves with time and you do move on tho I do esp still miss the benzos.

I really hope things start to feel better for you soon

One of the medications that worked well for me caused me to have a VERY rapid heart rate. (we're talking like in the 200's) My doctor tried to put me on a medication to slow it down, but it didn't really help that much. That coupled with the price of the medication caused me to have to stop it.
