I haven't heard about "truehope vitamins", but I quickly googled and I saw that it is more of a "one size fits all" approach, which raises immediate doubts. Everyone's body chemistry is different.
I work with a naturopath who suggests vitamins/enzymes for correcting imbalances and eliminating toxic metals. I get my hair samples teseted every 3 months to get my levels for Ca, Mg, Na, K, Fe, Cu, Mn, Zn, Cr, Se, P, and toxic metals Pb, Hg, Cd, As, Al, and additional minerals, Ni, Co, Mo, Li, B.
Important ratios include: Ca/Mg, Ca/K, Na/Mg, Na/K, Zn/Cu, Ca/P.
Initially, my imbalances were off the charts, but now my levels are much closer to normal. I've had 3 lab tests done so far. The initial cost of supplements was about $100/month, but now it's around $70 and long term maintenance should be less than this.
To do vitamins/supplements right, I'm pretty sure you need to work with a qualified professional that tests for your levels. I've been unmedicated for over a year now, and I didn't take supplements for the first 6 months or so. I was stable, but I notice a significant improvment when I take supplements. I don't think they are necessary, but they help me for sure.
