I got 17, but I don't see how the test can be too accurate with only true or false options. I think it should be on a 1-7 or 1-9 scale. Some of them that I checked are only moderately true and some are very strongly true. Then there are some that I didn't check that are true at some times or to a mild degree.

Also, I got an 8 on Ad hoc's sensation seeking test. I don't like doing that sort of stuff because of the danger and inherent nervousness that entails it. I prefer to be in a familiar place most of the time, but I do enjoy the feeling of exploration, I just keep it to videogames. I think I am mostly normal in that regard.
Definite social anxiety, at least a few prominent avoidant-schizoid traits. Plus other general confusion and strangeness.

Apparently this is a simplified version of the original test with a numbered range for each question. As far as online tests go, this seems to be the most well-crafted one I've seen. Without personal contact, it's easier to get meaningful answers with yes/no options, because they're less subjective than ratings. The questions seem to have been carefully elaborated and each one of them is there for a reason.

This is their disclaimer:-

no psychological test is so accurate that an individual should base his or her life on it. We psychologists try to develop good questions, then decide on the cut off based on the average response.

Exactly. I always felt like I was very sensitive and did test just helped me prove it. I react to almost anything. And then again this has little to do with my avoidance, instead I use it as a "weapon" against it. How? Being highly sensitive helps knowing faster how a mood changed and how I can react against that adversity for example

I don't see the point of this being posted on a Avie site, or any test or poll for that matter!
Sometimes I wonder if I'm actually on a Avie site with all the non-avie opinions.

I think polls and tests like these help you develop self-knowledge. The interaction between different kinds of people also helps both sides understand themselves and each other. I'm sure Little Boy is posting here because he sees avoidants as an opposite of himself. I think both sides gain from it.

As as outsider myself, I'm willing to discuss this further with you. If you don't mind the idea, please PM me.

20...
I don't really have issues with caffeine, lack of nutrition and sensory input (I tend to function better without food for several hours.) Maybe I'm weird but I can see the beauty in hard core science rather than in "art". Stuff in natural sciences can be very touchy.

I think HSP and Avoidant Personality Disorder is somewhat similar. Sharing similar traits. I actually have an HSP board (although right now we kind of just talk) if anyone wants to join, PM me and I will send you the link. I think some of my avoidance is due to my sensitivity... so I think that is how it can relate.

I think it might be one path to AvPD or produce similar "symptoms"
as you suggest. I remember green_tea declaring herself an HSP as well.

I scored 7. How low does the score have to be to be a highly insenstivie person? (HISP)? :)
