Animals

Does anyone else spend a lot of time with dogs or cats? Like if I am around people or at a party, my fixation will mainly be on the animals around me, rather than having to talk with people. Anyone else like this?

Yep.

I was at a christening a month or two ago. We all went back to the house for a BBQ etc (much to my disappointment).
Anyway, there was this mad springer there.
She was great fun. She'd find a stick and get you to throw it then bring it back. She'd do this untill the stick was the size of a match stick and still want you to throw it.

She'd pick up the stick and throw it at your foot if you didn't want to play. Never barked just gave a wimper.
I must have spent a good 2-3 hours throwing balls, sticks, frizbes for this dog. She didn't get borded once. Even when I hid the stick in a bush she head butted the bush until the stick fell out, then brought it back!

Of course I had to do a little small talk with the family and a few guests. I just never know what to say.
But yeah, playing with the dog was great fun.

I would do that. If I ever went to parties. I remember when I used to play with my neigbhors dogs. they didn't treat them too well - just left them tied up in the back yard all day.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
