How often are you sticking on a chair behind a computer?

Postby twistermind » Sun Feb 15, 2009 10:35 am

I suppose this question is already treated in this forum but, anyway they are new users.
When I´m in my job I only usually the PC to search resourses for my pupils and look for specific information such as: routes in a travel or cultural event in my city.
But NOW, I´m spendind too much time. Three hours in the morning and some days at night. I feel as I was becomind an addict.

How about you?

I've always spent quite a lot of time on the computer. The past 2/3 years, I've spent probably 7-8 hours on average per day in front of a pc.
I'm surprised I haven't grown roots.

About 13 hours a day.

If I had a job it would be more like 7-8.

I'm on the computer a ton as well. I'm typically not doing much though. I never turn it off so when I'm watching tv or playing xbox or doing drugs, all I have to do is spin my chair to the left and I'm on the computer.

The only thing that happens is my knees can really hurt because I sit awkwardly. I also think my eyesight has gotten bad as a result. I can barely drive at night anymore.

Also does any guy on here felt an intense pain in their crouch if they stand up to quickly? Like a sudden tension then relaxation?

No, I sometimes get dizzy if i stand up quick which is probably from low blood pressure.

well at least 10 hours a day, if not more. most likely more. Back in middle school i would be on about 15 hours a day on the weekend. and then my parents took it away. In high school, it was a lot but not too much. Now, my second year in college its about as bad as in middle school when i was really depressed

Oh god in middle school my family didn't even have the internet so I spent hours on the computers at the library. That's when I discovered message boards. I remember I was catsitting for my friend and I went through her magazines and I found a website called missgirl.com, and it all snowballed from there. I'm still livejournal friends with a few people from another website I found through that website, but I never got close to them the way they did with each other...story of my life! There's this other forum I found through that one and I got yelled at on it a bunch of times but I still lurk...I feel like I know some of those people which is really creepy. Then in high school I got a laptop and spent all my time at cafes with free wireless. I think out of all my vices (cigarettes, alcohol, drugs) the internet is the only one I'm literally addicted to.
