Is there any known therapy that helps improve fear of rejection?

I find that after years of getting rejected over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over you get kind of used to it. Or resigned to it. The problem is that when you DON'T get rejected it is such a total shock that you have no idea what to do.

I think the only way to really not fear rejection is to accept and love yourself first. I FEAR rejection cause I'm always looking for my self esteem from how others treat me. I depend on them to determine how I feel about myself. Not a good thing to do. So feeling better about yourself is a good place to start!
