What are you doing for Xmas day?

I'm going to go to my Aunts house and eat dinner. There is no food in my house so, I'm going over just for the food and the presents. They know how I act so they will leave me alone I'm sure. I foresee alcohol.

I'm going to be working. That's the way I like it really.

I will be home, alone. Just another day off.

I am sure my mom would be happy if I visited her. But I won't. I've never really understand the rituals surrounding holidays, and always found them a bit hollow.

I'll sleep late, snuggle with kitty then clean the house a bit. then I'll go to a movie. I'll have plenty to do. I may come online late in the day. I'll be here on Chrstmas eve.

I'm staying with three other girls-immigrants in London. we'll have a christmas eve and it should be ok. i just pray that i won't get too socially anxious and won't spoil it for myself. i'm glad i'll spend christmas this way.

I am probably cleaning, because every day including today (christmas eve) i've been too busy working! Damn them....

So yeah, tomorrow will have to clean because sisters, and nephews and nieces and brother in laws and future brother in laws gonna come over. And then I will eat the food they prepare, completely ignore them, avoid any alcoholic drink that may be around.... possibly get into a water fight with my nephews, and maybe one of my brother in laws will join in.

The next day I will be back to cleaning and the day after that I am either working or fired....


Basically spending it alone in the company of my family.

I see Christmas as just another day with no more value or special meaning that any other day. Since Christmas is a religious holiday and I'm agnostic by nature, I do not celebrate it at all.

If the weather clears I could head down to Albany. The Albany woman called me and said she has Christmas off now. Maybe she just wants me to get that tree off her house. They had an ice storm the day I met her and she's had this tree on her roof ever since. I told her how I had a tree on my garage last year and I left it there for a couple of months. I'm a slob I guess. But it wasn't hurting anything.
