Love/hate relationship with people?

Does anyone consider themselves to have a love/hate or ambivalent relationship with humanity as a whole? I mean a mixture of wanting to be close to and love people and wanting nothing to do with people at all? Is there a correlation between these states and being avoidant as a whole?

I have the same issue with myself, but depending on my mood, I don't really like people that much...

But I must confess, sometimes it would be nice if I had someone to hug me...

Not as strong, or at least I wouldn't call it love and hate.
But sometimes I just want to be left alone and other days I think there is some conncetion between me and other people and I enjoy being social.
