No, you don't. I passed out the last time I had that done, and I'm gay.

There wasn't anything wrong with your comment. I just hope if I get kidnapped and have a kidney stolen they take the bad one. Maybe I should make a scar on my back near the good kidney to fool them....msunderstood wrote:Parador, I'm sorry about my comment in this thread. I hope you're doing better these days.
I have no idea what Marcuss is talking about. I should get my butt scoped but since I have gastro problems I should get my esophagus and stomach scoped. In fact they recommended that a few years ago when I ended up in the ER with a meatball stuck just above my stomach. All the acid reflux caused the esophagus to narrow. It can also cause Barrett's esophagus which can lead to cancer ... so I really should get it checked. But I don't want to..skyflyz wrote:I'm sorry for all your troubles, Parador. Occasionally I'll have a day or two where certain foods hurt all the way down.. not sure if that is heartburn or not. I try to eat healthy though. I remember that at one time I was on a megadose vitamin regime and that was awful -- everything I put in my mouth hurt going down. It's tough when eating hurts.
I have some hydrocodone mixed with acetaminophen (sp?) left over from when I had my dental work. I also have trazodone (sp?) they gave me to sleep better. I blame that for making me wake up groggy so I never took it. But I reserve these meds for emergencies. Good thing you have the same sort of idea.

You guys talking about a colonoscopy? Because I was supposed to get that done like 3 years ago. Several years ago I got stuck taking somebody to one and he had a very hard time, puking and all. They had to keep him in there longer than usual.
I know that there are some newfangled noninvasive type of procedures to check a person for colon cancers, but they require the same prep and my insurance doesn't cover it. I might be willing to pay out of pocket for it though.
