Small point to be raised:
If the incidences of psychopathy occurring in the future depend largely upon the "average life-style" becoming "easier and more care-free", I believe this begs further consideration. I am not wholly aware of the average life-style becoming easier and more care-free. Being impoverished and living in a non- or semi-industrialized country does not necessarily begat having a difficult life. Neither does being rich enough to afford costs of daily living in an industrialized country mean that life becomes "care-free". As a general statistic, incidences of childhood abuse and neglect are rising across the Western world (source: meta-analyses done of British, North American studies on child sociology). If we continue the line of thought that environmental determinism is a large (75%+) contributor to the development of psychopathy, then I would hesitate to say that psychopathy is on the wane.
