One large 'shock' of food per day isn't recommended by most nutritionists. It is too much like binging. It can cause blood sugar spikes and other undesirable reactions.
The recommended way to weight control or regulation is by 'grazing' or multiple small healthy meals throughout the day balanced with water intake and activity. Keep weight losses or gains gradual.
You might want to consult a nutritionist or meal coach. Best of luck to you.
