Trauma Release Exercises

Postby Lily82 » Mon Feb 20, 2012 11:13 pm

Hi

I have Borderline Personality Disorder and DID, so I struggle with extreme anger!
I tend to get angry very easily, have verbal outburts, and also self-harm.

I have found that since doing Trauma Release Exercises my anger has decreased dramatically. I am not angry 24/7 any more. In arguements I am very clear headed and don't get the 'rage' and just lose it completely. I am better at articulating myself and can move on from the incident, without carrying the anger with me.

The exercises work by stimulating the muscles that carry trauma, so letting go of stressful emotions in the body. The brain gets out of 'fight or flight' mode, and pent up emotions are released.

Look up 'Trauma Release Exercises' and 'Case Studies' on Youtube.

Please give them a go. You will feel much calmer and more open and peaceful.
