Hey,
You might be surprised to hear that this pattern of thoughts matches those seen in OCD, but it seems that you don't have a serious form of it. In OCD, a common process is that a thought of death or something else bad comes to the person's mind. they then adversely react to it, think more and more about it, and carry out a compulsion in order to 'quench' the obsessive/infiltrative thought. In your case, you seem to have learned to generate anger in response to the thoughts.
It is important to recognise the entire process of what is happening in your brain, which is that you receive the thought and that this is what triggesr the anger. Thus, trying to react to the thought in a different way would avoid the anger ever appearing. A good method used by those with OCD is to 'dismiss' the thoughts as silly and irrelevant as they come.
