Take the Jung personality test!

Postby EtherealStarlight » Thu Sep 01, 2011 12:28 am

yeah, i was wondering which jung personality the schizoids on here would score the most. i've heard that intp is the one that schizoids usually get, but i thought it would be interesting to put up a link to the test and put a poll.

so, just take this test: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp and vote! >u<

which one did you get?

i got this:

Your Type is
INTJ

Strength of the preferences %

Introverted - 100
Intuitive - 62
Thinking - 62
Judging - 11

I took this not too long ago actually. I bet 75% of the people who participate will get either INTJ or INTP, lol. Anyway, I got INTJ.

Strength of the preferences %
Introverted - 89
Intuitive - 88
Thinking - 75
Judging - 11

I dont know what that judging thing is, but that's a pretty damn bad score. o.o

Figure most of us would score INTJ.

Introverted - 89
Intuitive - 25
Thinking - 88
Judging - 1

wow, a one for judging? O_O you're really split down the middle!

and here's the difference between judging and perceiving:

Are we organized and purposeful, and more comfortable with scheduled, structured environments (Judging), or are we flexible and diverse, and more comfortable with open, casual environments (Perceiving)? From a theoretical perspective, we know that if our highest Extraverted function is a Decision Making function, we prefer Judging. If our highest Extraverted function is an Information Gathering function, we prefer Perceiving.

which is weird, i would think that i (along with most of the rest of us) would prefer an unstructured environment to a structured one. O.o

maybe that's why our judging scores are low, like we're almost equally judging and perceiving, but slightly prefer one above the other?

*does victory dance for getting 100% on introversion* >:3

This test again... I never know what to say I am because I pretty much always am right on the border between P and J. As far as I'm concerned I do not actually lean either way.

INTJ
Introverted - 100
Intuitive - 100
Thinking - 31
Judging - 1

So really I think of myself as an INT(J | P)

I would theorize that the J/P difference here is reflecting an interest in the order of things more than in the order of life events. For example, I like an orderly, neat living space or personal apperance, but I hate schedules and deadlines.

zomg, we're all intj! i thought for sure most of us would be intp, i'd heard it's always the one attributed to spd. this is interesting.

i'm the complete opposite of you, vertices. i'm fine with schedules and deadlines, but i'm too freaking lazy to clean up after myself or put things in order. XD

so maybe we're all just intp or intj, with a slight difference between the j and p? >.<

Well, I'm talking about ideals, I have my bouts of laziness too

It's funny because just 6 years ago or so, I believe I was around 90% P (so very INTP), but I've changed over time I guess. Mind you that time period was my adolescence so some sort of change is not very unusual.

But certainly, I think any schizoid is definitely going to be an INTP or INTJ. I think we've had some Fs around here before but I would theorize that they'd be tipping into AvPD territory more than SPD.

I think the IN is definitely the most crucial part of the SPD personality, though. Self-directed thoughts and a preference for solitude, coupled with a rich and imaginative mental world.

i agree, if you're more feeling than thinking, you probably have something other than or in addition to spd that causes you to be that emotional...

i'm kind of surprised that everyone is intuitive rather than sensing.

Sensing and intuition are the information-gathering (perceiving) functions. They describe how new information is understood and interpreted. Individuals who prefer sensing are more likely to trust information that is in the present, tangible and concrete: that is, information that can be understood by the five senses. They tend to distrust hunches that seem to come out of nowhere. They prefer to look for details and facts. For them, the meaning is in the data. On the other hand, those who prefer intuition tend to trust information that is more abstract or theoretical, that can be associated with other information (either remembered or discovered by seeking a wider context or pattern). They may be more interested in future possibilities. They tend to trust those flashes of insight that seem to bubble up from the unconscious mind. The meaning is in how the data relates to the pattern or theory.

so i would think that it wouldn't matter too much if you tend to think about what is rather than what could be, to be schizoid. O.o

My result varies depending on the day and how the test is worded, but I most often get INTJ, followed by INFJ.

It seems that most people online who identify as schizoid classify themselves as INTJ or INTP.

However, some people suggest that people with SPD are most likely to be ISTP or INFJ e.g. have a look here.

I think there's a difficulty in correctly gauging your own personality, especially if it is disordered. Ten years ago I got zero for "F" (for feeling) and I would have ridiculed anybody who suggested I was a 'feeling' type. Now I'm not so sure what I am, but I realise my actions often don't fit those of somebody who is thinking-dominant. I used to feel so sure of my answers, but now these tests confuse me. :?
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.
