Does this sound like Somnophilia? Help!

I posted here before about my boyfriend masturbating every night in bed with me next to him. I am not sure if he thinks I am sleeping or just doesn't care. I am never asleep when he starts this. I have mentioned this to him and he has denied it. He did try to be quieter after I said this to him though. I am not sure which bothers me more, him keeping me awake or the disrespect I feel when he does it. On occasion he has also moved close to me and pressed his hard on on my back, he will put his hand on me and if I move (thinking the first few times he was interested in having sex) he would stop and hold still. That's when I realized he didn't want me to wake up! I also mentioned this to him and he was deeply offended accusing me of calling him a necrophiliac. I tried explaining that wasn't it. That doesn't occur as often as the masturbating. I began kicking him lightly letting him know I was awake, he would then stop but disturbingly the next morning he would tell me I kicked him! Thinking I guess that I did it in my sleep (even though I never have before). So the other night I said something instead, "Please go to sleep." He said "###$ you" and went and slept on the couch. I can't deal with this much longer!

The most disturbing thing was the other night though, I had been up all night (our daughter had a baby and I was present for the birth), then was up all the next day. He initiated sex and I obliged (he was going out of town for work the next day for a week and it was his birthday). He started getting soft and I was losing energy so he pulled out, I then moved into a comfortable position (with my back to him) and closed my eyes (couldn't keep them open anymore). He started rubbing me and caressing me (things he doesn't do when I am "awake" and then proceeded to have sex with me again. He achieved an extremely hard erection like I never felt before and did this for about twenty minutes before he had an orgasm. So, my take from this is that he prefers to have sex with me when I am sleeping! At least it really, really gets him off. What causes this and how do I deal with it?

Hi! Well, it sounds like you have a point. No one is a professional psych on this site, by the way. It sounds like he's very defensive about this. He is either ashamed of having a fetish like this one or he thinks that he might be capable of doing something wrong...
Maybe it could help if you'd show him some info about this fetish/paraphilia, to show him that he's not the only one who has it and that he doesn't have to hide.

You could talk to him. Tell him that if that's what he needs, you're open to working with him about it. It sounds like he's embarrassed and doesn't know how to talk about it. That or he has a rape fetish. Either way, you should talk to him.
