Problem updating signature/profile

Postby zombies.attacks » Thu Jul 18, 2013 8:46 pm

If I try to save changes in either my signature or profile I get the message "The field “X” is too long, a maximum of 0 characters is allowed.".

What's up with that? :/
I laugh because if I do not I will cry.

There's supposedly a 320-character limit in the signature field. Can you update your signature with something small and basic, such as the word "test"?

If that works okay, then try a longer signature - up to 320 characters. (You can include small images in the signature too; I think up to 50 pixels high.).
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.

Members with new accounts aren't allowed to edit or create new signatures for a short while.

You should be fine to do so now though, if you are still having issues with it feel free to PM me and I will help you out.

I'm having the same problem. It's telling my the max amount of characters for the field is 0. I registered a few months ago but really just started posting today. Is that still too new?

This feature is based on post count and not length of time someone has been a member. Once you have 5 posts you are allowed to have a signature.

We do this as an anti-spam measure.

Yes, it's the same. You'll be able to update your profile after 5 posts.
I am not on the forum much these days. Please contact another staff member. Thank you.

Is it the same deal with having to have our posts cleared with a moderator before they are shown>

Similar deal, yes. :)
