Did anyone find a rainbow yesterday?

Happy 404 Day today!

Today is Thomas Jefferson Day in the United States. Jefferson was a famous American skeptic and the third President of the US. Thankfully, the story that credits him with proving that tomatoes aren't poisonous is untrue, as are other myths about him, but in my opinion, his true story is worth knowing.

Today is Leohard Euler's birthday, and look what I found yesterday! :razz:

Seriously, though, check him out.

According to the old calendar, it's also Leonardo da Vinci's birthday, but I'm not sure when his "real" birthday is.

Oh, and it's also Y Chromosome Appreciation Day. This calls for cake!

What exactly is the "Day of the Mushroom"? Is it a rec drug thing, like 420? Something about a nuclear explosion? Just a day to honor a certain taxon within the fungus kingdom?

Speaking of fungus kingdoms, I, being the dork I am, would prefer to believe the "Mushroom" in question is a certain videogame sprite. :oops:

Absolutely no idea, but it was St George's Day in England yesterday, and today I found the first of this year's St George's Mushrooms growing in the fields!
