Beliefs on life. So I've come to understand that my alters each have their own views on life and religion.
If reading about religious beliefs may offend you, please don't read further. This post is not intended to say that one set of beliefs is better or more right than any other, I don't believe that. If you have a past where certain religions offend you, perhaps you should not read either. I wanted to share this with you, and am interested to hear what your alters believe.
My brief religious history: I was raised Presbyterian, and I love my church community. I have had Catholic and Baptist friends who were mistreated by their churches.
Louis: His set of beliefs is that humans have auras and when two people or more are conversing or relating our what not, there is energy coursing between them. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad, and all the levels in between. For instance if two people who are friends are talking and he can sense the friendship between them, it makes him happy.
Nonnette: Believes that God is formless and omnipresent, that he presents himself in the goodness in people and beauty of the world. She believes that God protects her, as our life has been saved many times in the past. She does not believe that God imposes any regulations on us, that his deepest desire is for us to enjoy life and be kind to one another. He forgives everything, and loves us despite all.
Adnan: life sucks and then you die. However, he also enjoys spouting conspiracy theories.
Mannette: believes in no power higher than herself.
Isis: is a burgeoning satanist, but we have yet to fully explore his faith. Believes in heaven and hell.
Micah: believes in fractals; that life is a series of causes and effects, made up of pieces so small they are impossible to fathom fully. He believes that everything that happens has been caused by a domino-effect of fractals and the way which everything unfolds to the exact detail has been caused by an elaborate past. This belief applies to everything. Basically, he believes events are inevitable, but not planned. This belief is different than fate and karma.
Ingrid: they're all out to get me.
Rinata: believes in individualism, that we are each special beings, and only when we understand and accept ourselves for who we are (and stop trying to be someone else) is when we reach our highest truth and potential.
Sable: I think I can, I think I can, I think I can....
I'm excited to read your comments ^^. If you feel comfortable, tell me about the beliefs of your alters. Do you have similar or opposing beliefs within your system?
