Electrifying personalities

Postby Lalalark » Fri Oct 27, 2006 5:51 am

I spoke to another lady with DID in therapy the other night. It was so nice relating to someone and talking about things and knowing she feels the same way I do about certain things and understanding.
Sometimes I only feel better here.
anyways she asked if I had anyquestions or anything that was happening that seemed really weird lately and I said, well I have been having this weird thing that whenever I am really upset I make all the light bulbs explode. I can also turn lights off and I shock everything with these huge big blue sparks. But only when me and/or the little ones are REALLY upset. She said she can dim lights turn on and off appliances and she has also been known to explode light bulbs. WOW!
HAs this ever happened to any of you?
and what do you think about it?
So what is the "me"?
My brain I suppose.
Because I have sort of a voice in my head, the part of me that thinks, that feels, that is aware that I exist at all.

Well, it does take a powerful mind to house multiple personalities, so it only makes sense that... PSYCHIC POWERS! XD

Well, we often feel like something like that is almost impossible to prevent, yet it never really happens for as far as I'm aware. Although we did use to have a lamp hanging from the ceiling that could start swinging back and forth when we were really upset, while the window was closed and we weren't moving (enough) to make something like that happen for as far as we could tell.
What you experience is heavy though!! Psychic powers alright!, although it has its cons, with the constant lightbulb-replacing and such.. :? Still, it's good you recognize so much in someone else with DID, we always feel better and more normal/real when talking to others with DID.. :)

I sometimes make things spark blue....thats how my last computer broke ^_^'
MY house always attracts lightning too. Only three serious times though, and once it caught fire..we were in the paper afterwards which was kinda cool.
YAY for psychic elecrto-magentic powers! :D
WHen I've discussed this with my therapist, she actually said that one time she was arguing with her husband, and got really upset, and motioned towards the CD player in her upset, upon which the device sparked and broke! I joked that it was probably because she was getting so much psychic buildup from her clients hehe

It does feel a lot better when you talk to someone else with DID. I've only ever met one other person with something similar to DID in real life...he doesn't call it DID but he does have alters. The day I found out about him and we talked, it was so nice and comforting that I embarrassed myself by crying!
-- So what then is this I?
Right now, as you read this, does it amount to anything more than a collection of thoughts and memories which are just transitory, and come and go in the mind like clouds in the sky? --

Jus rest Lark/others. Jus take a rest, then maybe you're less tired lateR? We like talking to other people with insiders as well, I like making lots of alter-friends and I have some at the internet at Neopets. Do you know Neopets? It's cool.

I've heard Lisa saw your pets lAlA and Jax, so that's good :) Glad you enjoy playing Neopets as well, even though it's been a while. Our accountname is nindy29, but it's mostly Lisa who's on.
