We were trying to think about something today. We have been told by our doctor that our hears are working ok and the body is hearing.
So why can we not hear?
Is it normal for alters to be Daef and the body to be Hearing?
Is it linked to the DID?
We do not understand what is going on.
None of us can hear.

Blocking things out can be a defensive mechanism. If you had to block out noise/arguments etc when you were younger, your body may still keep that defence. Try searching online for 'selective hearing' - a phrase which frustrates me because the 'selective' is at a subconscious level. I found some good stuff when I searched just now, but don't know how to put in onto here. Good luck in your search, it will be a start whilst waiting for others to reply

We have one part that can barely hear. He can't hear unless someone screams in his ear and even then he only hears a faint sound. I'm guessing it's a defensive mechanism of a kind for some. For us it's to do with how our hearing was at the time he was made.
