I thank thee both for answering.
For example she has tattooed the body with a Pagan symbol and has pierced the body's nose and once eyebrow before it closed, thank the heavens. Our difference in beliefs has even made it near impossible for me to go to church and worship my way.
I am sorry to hear this for you. Can thee worship inside? As a Plain person I do not attend any church and therefore have my own practice in my home (inside). May I inquire as to why thee cannot worship in your way? I send thee good thoughts and hopes for thine religious future.
Being of a more stricter faith when the body and host is no longer that is very difficult. And, I must admit, frustrating. Trying to find a balance feels nearly impossible.
Thine words speak truth for me as well in this.
I think ya'll will find that there might not be alters that are the same as you, but there's definitely alters out there that share similar likings an' beliefs an' such.
I thank thee. I was hoping someone shared a Plain belief (as there are several denominations that share a Plain initiative, including non-Christian) but I enjoy my own practice regardless. I do miss my outing bonnet though, I feel uncomfortable in these new clothes and while I am trying, it is not completely me. Inside I have my Plain outfit and also a suit type outfit that I go between as I try to transition into this new life of ours. I go to our meetings and such (outside) but I prefer my Plain clothes for doing it. Such is life though.
Or this here laptop, bein' used to connect with people like this, havin' support groups like this. But that's it. An' I can just as easily live without 'em.
I am not comfortable writing here at all, but the others have asked that I try, and so I do.
Today I am going to watch the television as well. There is a program about the Hutterites that we have taped that I would like to see. People of my own kind (I am not a Hutterite, but they are Plain like me). It might prove a comfort and a solace.
