BPD COMMUNITY MEMBER INTRODUCTION THREAD.

Ater light hesitation, I'm happy to establish a place for members to share a small introduction.

Use this thread to introduce yourself to the rest of the BPD community. Please be cautious with personal information and distribute only what you are comfortable with sharing on the forums.

Newly registered members have come to the BPD forum asking to be directed to any existing introduction thread, so following discussion, I've opened this one to the community. Uncertainty insinuates that this thread won't get much use, but it's here if you wish to utilise it.

Hi. I'm 24 years old and currently homeless, trying to work on my recovery anyway.
I (used to) like painting, music, video games, reading, and animals.

I'd really love to meet some people, preferably around my age, who share this plague of a pd.
I've been having the very worst struggle of my life over this past year and a half and I would love a friend or two to be able to talk to in my times of need.

Hi Im 31 nearly 32.
I was dx in august 2014 but only told of it in December 2014. Have had a rough 2 years -4 hospital stays. Have done a 6 month dbt course. They want me to do another year long one from May .

I struggle with lots of things such as thoughts of not living, chronic emptiness, hypersensitivity to noise, lights and touch, self harm and constant numbness.

I am mum to 2 boys and cant live with them over the above issues.

Borderline has ruined a long term relationship of 11 years, my sense of independance, my relationship with my children and my life in general.

I find it hard to see this battle ever ending. I am never going to be the old me. I dont know do I really know or like the new me.
I havent accepted borderline as i have seen firsthand how i am labelled by professionals before I even open my mouth.

Hello. :)
I've already posted once, but I just came across this introduction thread and thought it would be a good idea to post here. I am a young woman who was diagnosed with bpd roughly 2 years ago after a week-long visit in the psychiatric ward. Of course I was in denial about it at first, but upon reading multiple books, pamphlets, and websites I could see all the symptoms. I also have 3 other diagnosed mental illnesses, and quite a few health problems in general. I'm not a very healthy person! Although I'm constantly feeling ill, I do have a few interests. Mainly animals, photography and I'm trying to live a healthier lifestyle by going to the gym. I'm also a student at a college, but I plan on attending university within a couple years. Being a student has been rather difficult so far. I'm guessing it has to do with all the stress in my life at the moment. I kind of feel like my mental health is going right downhill, but that's besides the point. I'm trying to progress in life, and I think it's going relatively well despite not attending classes as often as I should. :p
