Today's Topics: obsessions and more.

Postby Peaceful.Realm » Sat May 25, 2013 5:24 am

Today my obsession was speaking in a boston accent, favoring the word "Chocolate". and "Charley" in the same sentence. At work.

I tend to get in my obsessive moods when I get carried away with things when I am either tired or comfortable in my space. I have had this one (Boston accent) come around more than once.

Another topic. Do you ever feel and almost know you sound rude or bossy when trying to be polite? I will give you a small scenario. I am at work, and I had previously asked someone to do something in a different way, so that it would make things at work go more smoothly and mainly just informing them how it's done correctly. Later on when they had stated it had been done the way I had asked, I kindly thanked them. But, to me it sounded sarcastic and vocal tones of upset (when I said thank you). there are days when I think I sound sarcastic and everyone sounds sarcastic. Sarcasm is a twist on the mind. I used it ONCE ages ago and I felt horrible for a whole week. So, I do not like nor use sarcasm. some days I feel everyones tone of voice sounds sarcastic or like I am bothering them. I read into it to much, and these days it has really toned down. I just thought i'd ask since it was on my mind.

Thanks. 8)

Haha I went through somewhat of a grammatical confusion at first when I read this paragraph. "Wait, your obsessions speak? How does that work? Are you talking about hallucinations? Oh!! I get it now! lol"

Do you ever feel and almost know you sound rude or bossy when trying to be polite?

Yes, often. But I usually can't think of a better way to convey what I mean, so I proceed to be rude or bossy. (Or... maybe not?) I try to compensate by making an effort to keep the possibility of future clarification open.

Haha. Very funny, I can see how you saw what you did in the grammatical confusion.

I agree. I just proceed as well, thats what I do also. do my best to give the..not finding the word, but try and portray that it is just for future clarification like you have said. :) Thanks for the wording.
