Is this "Aspie Related"

Postby Mishra2012 » Sun Feb 03, 2013 12:20 pm

Numbers in shapes, letters and even other numbers, patterns,.
Sometimes some how (not sure lol I end up calculating things that have NO NUMBERS!) I have done this since I was a child..and I have tried to cut it out a few times which only leads to me doing it less not totally stopping. One thing that is good about it is that it calms me down sometimes and helps me think or get ready to contemplate something. My cousin took me to watch the movie a beautiful mind and when I saw what he was doing with numbers it freaked me out! I do not want it to get that bad.

I looked up Apophenia and it doesn't fit.

i tend to pick up on patterns. i think most people with autistic traits do. i'm slightly obsessive about symmetry. and i like form to be defined by function too (i used to be an aerospace engineer).

I love symmetry as well. I had to learn to accept gifts regardless of how "ugly" or "odd" I thought they were, usually because they were Asymmetrical.
