I still feel like punching her when I think of all the countless times that she would say this like I had an obligation to know what she was talking about and to supposedly "adjust my attitude".

Are "NT's" people without Aspergers?

I suppose my worst interactions would be;

" So if I drop matchsticks, can you automatically tell me how many?"

"How do you live alone"

"Is minimum wage enough to live on?"

I've never liked it when NT's say 'great minds think alike' as it always leads me to wonder whether these alleged 'great minds' are genetically identical and therefore either clones or twins, and whether they were raised in identical environmental conditions and therefore completely physically juxtaposed, for how else could they 'think alike'. The closest thing I can think of would be some kind of genius siamese twins, and I am not aware of any such individuals in the recorded history of mankind (and yes I have examined the historical record, as well as the searched for the faintest rumors from the most distant of ancient sources, and found nothing other than a few tantalizing hints). And this leads me to conclude that the person is making the claim that there actually are no great minds in all the history of humanity, and I don't take kindly to slurs against humanity, but when I ask for an apology on behalf of mankind, they usually just look at me funny and wander off as quickly as they can.

oh well.

Sadly whenever I find comfort in someone well enough to tell them I have Aspergers, to let them know why I am socially awkward, shy, rude, and why I can seem condescending when I don't mean to be; they end up considering it for a second and than ignore it.

These two really infuriate me. It's extremely bigoted when some NT comes along and thinks they can tell me what sort of feelings I have. But it's even more infuriating when fellow aspies buy into this crap, that they don't have empathy. Hey, maybe you don't feel empathy - but that's not all aspies, eh? Stop speaking for us all.
