Hi. Just stumbled upon this site as it was one of the first thing to come up when I searched for "verbal abuse" in google. I've been suffering from disassociation and PTSD symptoms following a year I spent in a religious school in Israel designed for post-high school American students. I believe the school was extremely verbally abusive and used humiliation and intimidation tactics purposefully to set its students "on the right track". It was standard practice for the schools head educator to give a 'class' every morning in which individual kids would be called out and humiliated. Besides the standard claim that "God hates you", individuals were verbally mocked/bullied for weight issues and intelligence, as well as the head educators hunches on which kids were homosexual and what their 'true intentions' were for denying God's existence.

Along with some other people who have been negatively affected by this educational institution, I have contributed to a website that is attempting to expose parents and the community at large of the dangers of entrusting one's child with this man. *Edited by admin* Anyways, I was curious if anyone knows anything about legal action that one can attempt in the case of verbal abuse in a school setting. While generally well known, the schools behavior is widely tolerated and the history of abuse goes back some 30 odd years with many students having negative experiences as a result of run-ins with this educator. So anyways, is there some avenue of action for these kind of things or a precedent I should be aware of?
Thanks for your time.
