Open Discussions About Verbal Abuse.

Hi it's Mary again - Yes I understand that leaving my husband is definately an option. I have brought this idea up to him that he may have bipolar and maybe he should go see a doctor. He refuses to he says that there is nothing wrong with him. I just would like to figure out how I can deal with a person like this so that it does not wreck my marriage. I pretty much know when he is going to go off by now, he gets that look on his face and I hear it in his voice. I pretty much am very cautious about what I say to him although I might say something that I would'nt think would set him off and it does anyway. I just walk the baseboards of the house. He does not always use physical abuse most of this is verbal. The last time he hit me was in August, and it was just in the arm of which left a nice black and blue spot on me for about 2 weeks. He makes me feel helpless, very sad, and makes me cry alot. What can you suggest for me to do to possibly make him see things my way and seek professional help. Thanks, Mary

I had the idea that maybe my boyfriend was bipolar too~ But i now think that I'm just starting to see the "real him". And that you can't change a man.~
Accept him for who he is or leave him and move on~ He can't change unless he wants to.~
I don't have much advice to give you since I'm here to get my own~
But I can definetly relate to you~
I hope things work out for you~
Best of luck~
