I hope you realize that me staying warm is more important than your entertainment. It is a fact that my heater alone uses less energy than three televisions, three cable boxes, two lamps, a computer and an electric stove all combined. Especially since I only use my heater for about a total of four hours a day while you two keep your electronics on ALL THE TIME. Even the stove.
You use the stove for warmth. The stove is in the back of the house. Even if the heat from it did reach my room, I'm not going to relinquish my privacy by keeping my bedroom door open for heat, when I can just use my heater.
God, I regret even telling you guys I bought a heater because now you blame it/me every time a damn light goes dim or something goes out. Thanks for teaching me that we cannot have an honest relationship as roommates. The less I tell you, the better, evidently.
You tell me that if I get cold, I need to go sit in the kitchen. Um, how does that help, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep and my room is so cold that I can see my breath? I can't take the heat with me from the kitchen! If anything I'll be even colder when I return to my frigid room after being in that boiling hot kitchen.
We're all using a lot of electricity, especially considering the fact that only one outlet works in this entire house, and we're running a HUGE cord through it that we all have ALL of our stuff hooked up to in this orgy of extension cords here. Why should I have to keep my heater off and sleep in a 30-something degree room? Why don't the two of you turn your televisions and cable boxes off every now and then? Why don't you turn the hallway light off instead of keeping it on all night? Nobody uses that part of the hallway at night time anyway. Why not turn the lamp in the kitchen off when nobody's using it? Why not turn the lamp in your bedroom off at night, AT LEAST when you're asleep?
I'm suppose to live and sleep in the cold because two selfish adults are afraid of the dark and wanna watch TV. That is absolutely ridiculous. Also, the lights that did go out did not do so because of my heater, or anything that was plugged in for that matter. They went off because someone went into the basement and cut them off. Remember? The last time this happened, how did the problem get solved? Our piece of $#%^ landlord went downstairs and turned them back on, is how. HE HAS BEEN TRYING TO ILLEGALLY EVICT US FOR MONTHS and the only functional electricity happens to come from the floor that he alone occupies. Use your ######6 brains and stop relying on baseless myths about electricity. Nothing anyone had plugged in is responsible for our current situation. And the lights going dim does not mean they're going to go out.
In every place I've ever lived in, the lights would get dimmer when enough things were on at once, yet never once in all these years has that ever led to the electricity going out completely. Never. You guys are ######6 paranoid.
I will lie my ass off and say that my heater isn't even on, if that's what I must do to make you assholes leave me alone. If you're so concerned about the electricity, then start making some sacrifices of your own for a change. Use common sense. Understand that I cannot live in the kitchen. If we can't agree that my warmth and safety is more important than your entertainment and luxury, then I REALLY don't give a damn about your desires. Why should I when you're already overrating them?
I'm only going to be here for another week, then I'm spending the rest of the winter living on the streets anyway. Or in a homeless shelter full of sick and violent thieves. Until then, I'm going to take care of myself. I'm not sleeping in the freezing cold just to fuel your paranoia.
