Seriously, I'm standing there, and I have my headphones in, I'm not on the clock, I am NOT WORKING.
Let me explain what happened. I worked 7-3 today, first five hours I cleaned the entire store, the last three I pushed carts. Usually I'm a supervisor, but we don't have a lot of cart pushers at the moment, and that's what I was before becoming a supervisor, so they will throw me there if need be. Now, after I punched out, I was waiting for my ride (co-worker) as she was doing some shopping. Alright, I stand by the front time clock, with my headphones in, name tag off, shirt un-tucked, with a grocery bag in my hand. I had three people come up to me and ask if I was working. THREE PEOPLE, THREE! The first one had a simple question. She wanted to know where something was at. That's alright, I'm fine with that. I do work here, so I can answer a basic question like this. Especially if it's asking where the bathroom is. But the next two were idiots. The first was this young guy, who came up to me and asked me if I could open up on register. We weren't busy at all, but he wanted me to open a register. I hate these kinds of customers. No patience whatsoever. The third was probably the most oblivious of these two, as he went into a closed register TWICE and tried to check out, and then went into a closed register for a third time, but they took him. He had a hand basket. I unloaded it onto the register and then walked up to me and said, "I guess I'll give this to you then." I said "I guess," in a rather disgusted tone. "Oh, aren't you working?" he asks like a drooling idiot. "I'm not, but I'll take care of it," I said.
Ew.
