I hate happy people. Or, to be more specific, people who seem unnaturally happy at work. They talk in high voices some of the time, talk like they've rehearsed a script or something, and say annoying catch phrases about a hundred times a day before getting tired of it.
That's why I can't connect with them. I am interested in very few of the things they enjoy. I hate pop and country music and reality television, I don't watch a lot of sports. And I can't stand listening to their problems at home, especially when they're arguing with someone over the phone.
I just cannot see myself becoming like those people, and I don't want to. I prefer a calmer approach, not one that tells the whole world I'm here.
