Hi,

Are you saying that this started as dermatitus and then migrated to the obsessive rubbing? If that's the case, then would treating the dermatitus help? It's a common enough problem - i.e. to have dermatitus on the scalp. I cannot remember what it's called exactly, but it is common enough to be cured by medication.

PS - I looked up what it's called and it's psoriasis, but there's a different - related - condition called seborrhea too.
