Do I Have Trich? (tweezing underarms)

Postby Phoebe96 » Thu Sep 28, 2017 11:56 pm

I started plucking my armpit hair about two years ago, as it got rid of my hair longer than shaving did. Now i can't stop - is this trich or just a bad habit? I tell myself every day that i will stop, and yet i never do. I occasionally pluck my leg hair, but not at all to the same extent. I have never had thoughts or urges to remove hair from anywhere else on my body. My underarms are raw and gross and painful, and i regularly find myself digging into my skin with tweezers to remove ingrown hairs. I would love to be able to stop, but i don't know how. Is this trich or am i just weak willed? thanks

I haven't had much issue with trich since I graduated college, but my psychologist mentioned something the other day about calligraphy helping trich patients (I assume drawing, coloring, or painting might work too).

No clue on how well it works, but maybe try it and see if that helps?

Good luck! <3
