I've just got back from a 5 day holiday and after about day 3 I was getting bored. And what do I do when I'm bored? I pull. I got myself to just pull at my leg hair so because I shave that anyway it didn't ruin my progress appearance wise but in my head it was not fun.

Hey, so I wanted to give you guys a progress update and, its not going as well as I'd like.
Although I've completely stopped getting urges for my lashes and all the scabs I had from pulling skin to get to an ingrown hair have gone, I'm still pulling every day. Not to the extent that I did but I'm not happy with how this is going. I thought I could do better than this. However all the support messages that have been on this post have been helpful, thanks a bunch.

That's progress if you've stopped pulling your lashes! :)
Leg hairs are a much better place to pull if you must pull
when overly stressed.

Now, about that journey to pull-free, what is your
present plan?

Don't give up Jeannalou. You can stop pulling.

You are doing so well! The key to beating trich is to continue towards your goal even when you feel that you have failed by pulling again. The road to pull free is often 1 step forward, 2 steps back. I have had trichotillomania for 16 years, and have been completely bald from pulling for the same amount of time. Last August I decided that I was going to beat this thing. I had tons of setbacks along the way, but I can tell you now that I have shoulder length hair. The journey to being pull free is a battle of the "selves"; The Trichotillomania part of you, and the part that wants to be pull free. The trich does not want you to be pull free so it will put all sorts of negative thoughts into your head along the way. Just remember that every "whats the point", "I'll never reach my goal", "I can't do it", "I just have to accept that I will always pull" or any other deterrent, is your trich tricking you into giving up. Never give up! Keep moving forward.
