That's fascinating. I've never read that here before. Is it helping with the trich urges still? Was it directly aimed at the trich or another issue?
We think too much and feel too little.

More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.

I have trich for 26 years now. I can manage it. I say no when it asks me to pluck . I am not bald . One day trich urge was so hard . I went to see my aunt she does trich therapy. I ask her to place leech with a tube on a scalp spot where it bothers a lot . Leech has tree micro teeth . I felt good . It is better than plucking hair or damaging skin.

They give some type of vitamins . I felt really good . They help to avoid pulling . It is genetical disorder . Doctors just name it trich . I visited best doctors they don't know what a hell is it. They just blame it to genetics . :)

Other options

I would encourage you to check the Vit D posts on here, as well as try using Orajel on your fingertips, and read the Xmania post on Black Tea. I have also invented a special hat to help
with this. I posted on the Orajel item on "what is helping" today.
I feel that we are doing a form of acupressure on ourselves when we pull, to help adjust internal
tensions. My hat invention is based on that concept.
Don't give up. I can see you are deeply sincere in trying to help yourself.
You are among friends here.
We care.

:D

So sorry it wasn't helpful to try the Orajel. We all have our differences and struggles.
IF I think of anything else, will certainly post it.
Thanks for giving it a try and particularly for giving the feedback.
Blessings.

"caine" an ingredient in orajel is the active ingredient that causes the numbing. Apparently
it can cause allergies of various kinds for many folks. Its also found in sunburn spray such as
solarcaine, etc.

Its a wild thought, but perhaps, numbing fingertips with pieces of ice when the urge to pick
flares up, could be a more neutral way to cope with that.

Have you tried washing your scalp with black tea water as recommended by one of the other
members? I did find that soothing as well.

How are things for you lately? I seem to have more problems when nervous and stressed.
I ultimately didn't finish college because I was just tired of pulling my hair out while studying.
I ended up in a field where studying from books wasn't required to achieve it.

For me, it was the right decision.
