I'm gonna ask about it on this forum because I tried on another one and I only recieved ridicule and hate. I'm 16, and I'm diagnosed with severe anxiety, clinical depression, severe ADHD, and OCD. I've been on a lot, and I mean a LOT, of different medication, but nothing seems to work. I spend most of my time in the house, mostly because I'm too anxious to leave. I do go to school, but spend most of my days in guidance, or hiding in the bathroom, having panic attacks from stress and anxiety, and lately I haven't been able to complete classwork or homework. I've been hospitalized quite a few times. I self harm, and sometimes have difficulty completing simple tasks due to my depression. I've been looking into getting a psychiatric service dog to assist me with my anxiety. I asked my therapists about it, and they thought it would be a good Idea. I'm seeing my psychiatrist next week and I'm planning to ask her about it. I really think having a PSD would help alleviate my anxiety, and help me get out of the house. Any opinions on this? Please don't be outrightly negative... I'm just looking for thoughts. Yes, I know I'm young, but I am capable of taking care of an animal. The dog'll help me, and I'll help the dog. I think maybe... just maybe, it might help me see a future for myself. people keep shutting me down. anyone on here have a PSD and willing to share advice or opinions?
